This is a very attractive piece of furniture, offering a generous amount of storage space. The three ‘secret’ drawers at the top are accessed by opening the drawers beneath and pressing the wooden spring catch upwards whilst sliding the drawer out. The central drawer has dividers, so is ideal for jewellery. The chest has some lovely features, especially the rope twist pilasters and the decorative inlays.

Condition: Overall this is in very good condition. There are a few areas where veneer has been replaced, and the knobs on the bottom drawer both have repairs, though these are hard to see. The drawers have their original paper linings which are a little worn in places and have some tears. The drawers all open and close smoothly.

Dimensions:

Width - 120.5cm (measured across the feet which are the widest point)

Depth - 52cm

Height - 116cm
