Large Worcester Cabbage Leaf Mask Jug

£75.00

A late 18th century Worcester porcelain cabbage leaf jug decorated with a beautiful floral pattern, with a mask detail under the spout. A rare and beautiful jug which sadly has an unrestored crack through the body, but is in tact and could potentially be repaired if desired, though as the crack is only visible from one side it is still a nice decorative item…

Condition: There is sadly a crack that loops through the body and into the base. I can’t see that any attempt at gluing or repairing this crack has been made. It doesn’t reach the rim - I am unsure if it has been caused by damage (there is no sign of damage other than the crack) or if it was a firing flaw that has opened up. The crack is visible from one side only. Otherwise the jug is in good condition with no other damage. Please note that if this jug was perfect its value would be £300 - £400.
